1.   Board opposes House Bill 480

The Lucas County Board of MR/DD has gone of record opposing House Bill 480. The legislation would allow communities to opt out of TARTA. TARTA General Manager Jim Gee told the Board enactment of the legislation could disrupt lives and would make it difficult for many people to maintain their standard of living. Among those receiving Board services, 167 ride TARTA and 180 use TARPS.
